What is the difference between Startbox and Masterbox automatic watch winders?
With the aim of preserving and keeping your timepiece on time, the Masterbox and Startbox automatic watch winders stand out for their functionality and design:
- Startbox: with dimensions of 11 x 11 x 11 cm, this cubic box stands out for its simplicity of operation, ready to use immediately upon switching on. With a rotation cycle of 1,600 revolutions per day, this winder is suitable for most automatic watches.
- Masterbox: offering advanced features such as Bluetooth connectivity, this winder allows you to customize the rotation cycles according to the desired use (standard cycle of 1,600 turns per day) via an application. With a dimension of 10 x 10 x 10 cm per winder for 1 watch, this box is available in many materials and can accommodate from 1 to 12 watches depending on the model.
Completely portable, the Starbox and Masterbox watch winders operate on batteries, allowing you to place your watch case wherever you want, even in a safe.

How do I replace the batteries in my SwissKubik automatic watch winder?
To ensure optimal operation of your SwissKubik winder, battery replacement must be carried out with care. Follow these simple steps:
- Battery compartment access: Use a coin to unscrew the screw on the battery cover. Carefully remove it to access the batteries.
- Removing and installing new batteries: Remove the old batteries. Then place the two new batteries (Type C 1.5 volts, we recommend using the Procell Duracell model due to its quality) in the slots provided, paying close attention to the polarities (+/-). This is crucial to avoid any damage to your rotating case.
- Closing the battery compartment: Replace the cover on the battery compartment and tighten the screw using a coin to secure the battery cover.
Following these instructions will ensure that your watch winder operates reliably and safely. If you encounter any difficulties or need further assistance, please consult our troubleshooting guide or contact our customer service team.

How do I choose my automatic watch holder?
To ensure your watch sits comfortably in your automatic watch winder, it's important to choose a watch winder that's the right size for your watch. To help you choose the best size
for your automatic watch, we recommend consulting the size guide when purchasing.

How do I connect my Masterbox automatic watch winder to my smartphone?
Our Masterbox automatic watch winder can be connected via Bluetooth to our mobile app. When you turn on your Masterbox watch winder, Bluetooth is automatically activated.
To connect your watch case, prepare your Bluetooth settings page on your phone beforehand, then turn on your Masterbox watch winder.
Your Masterbox's Bluetooth is active for 2 minutes after turning on your watch case and automatically turns off after these 2 minutes to preserve battery life.
Once your watch winder name appears in your settings, click on it to connect.

How do I position my watch on the SwissKubik automatic watch winder?
To ensure the proper functioning of our products, your automatic watch must be correctly positioned in the winder. Make sure it is placed vertically at 12 o'clock facing you
with a minimum tilt angle of 43.5 degrees.

What is the purpose of the protective glass?
The protective glass plays an essential role: it provides additional security for your automatic watch, protecting it from possible shocks when storing your automatic watch winder.
It is particularly useful when placing your winder in a safe, avoiding any direct impact with objects that could also affect the proper functioning of your SwissKubik automatic watch winder.

How do I maintain my SwissKubik automatic watch winder?
As part of their manufacturing, each of the materials making up your automatic watch winder has received a specific treatment. This protects the materials of your winder so that
it can accompany your timepiece for a long time. However, we recommend that you avoid the use of detergents: if you wish to clean your automatic watch winder, use a damp cloth instead.
Be careful about exposing your watch to extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, or extreme temperature fluctuations, which can affect the winder's operation. Finally, be sure to store your winder in a suitable location, avoiding locations where you would not place your automatic watch.

How does the power supply for our SwissKubik automatic watch winders work?
The power supply for your SwissKubik automatic watch winder depends on the specific model you own.
- Startbox: this winder works exclusively on batteries (2 alkaline batteries Type C 1.5 volts, we recommend using the Procell Duracell model due to its quality.)
- Masterbox: offering greater power versatility, this rotating watch box operates on batteries (2 alkaline Type C 1.5 volt batteries), as for the Startbox watch winder, we recommend using Procell Duracell batteries but other brands also work.) but also on mains power. The Masterbox demonstrates integrated intelligence by automatically detecting the main power source. Thus, when it is plugged in, it automatically switches to mains power, thus preserving battery life. Similarly, as soon as the winder is no longer on mains power, it automatically resumes battery operation, ensuring continuous use.
Note that the USB-C port is a simple power supply used to connect your winder to mains power and not to recharge the batteries. It can also be used to program your watch box via our Mac/PC application
Whether you choose the Startbox or Masterbox automatic watch winder, we recommend not using rechargeable batteries.
What is the ideal number of rotations for an automatic watch?
Most watches need 1,000 to 1,900 revolutions per day to function properly.
Our Startbox automatic watch winder rotates
1,600 times per day, meeting the requirements of most watches. However, if your watch has more specific needs, we recommend our Masterbox automatic watch winder. Set to rotate 1,600 times per day, this rotating box has advanced features that allow you to customize the rotation cycles (number of daily turns and direction of rotation) of your automatic watch according to its needs.

How does an automatic watch work?
An automatic watch operates using kinetic energy generated by the wearer's wrist movements, stored in a mainspring.
Why wind your watch with an automatic winder rather than manually?
An automatic watch winder has several advantages.
- Fewer handling errors: An automatic watch winder helps prevent common handling errors, such as dropping the watch during manual winding or risking damage to the crown by servicing it too often. It also prevents the date from entering the dead zone, a time when improper handling can cause malfunctions. By keeping your watch on time continuously, you reduce the risk of shocks and premature wear.
- Preserving the mechanism: Over time, manual winding can damage certain components of the watch, such as the crown or the winding system. An automatic watch winder prevents excessive handling and ensures gentle but regular winding.
- Simplified maintenance of complicated watches: Watches with complications, such as moon phases or perpetual calendars, are particularly tedious to reset after prolonged periods of inactivity. Using an automatic winder keeps these complications running, thus avoiding complex procedures involving a professional.
Thanks to their advanced features, such as the ability to program the number of daily rotations or adjust the direction of rotation, SwissKubik automatic watch winders meet the needs and requirements of each watch.
Is it necessary to service your automatic watch if you use an automatic watch winder?
An automatic watch winder is an accessory that keeps a watch moving when it is not being worn. Thanks to a complex mechanism, this rotating case simulates the natural
movements of the wrist, ensuring the preservation of the movement, the proper distribution of watch oils, and the protection of the watch's internal parts.
Servicing an automatic watch, on the other hand, is a meticulous procedure that involves in-depth maintenance. The mechanism is completely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and if necessary, worn parts are replaced to ensure optimal performance. This operation is carried out on average every 3 to 5 years by a professional watchmaker.
Servicing and winding your automatic watch are therefore two very different actions.
While it in no way replaces a complete service, a winder for an automatic watch allows for less frequent servicing by the watchmaker, preventing the oils from congealing.
The automatic watch winder sometimes stops, is this normal?
Designed to simulate the natural way a watch feels on the wrist, SwissKubik automatic watch winders systematically stop between each rotation cycle in the vertical position.
Reproducing the natural movements of the wrist, they take over by keeping your timepiece moving when you are not wearing it. Rest periods are essential because they respect the mechanism of your watch, avoiding constant stress on the spring. This relaxes it, thus preserving the longevity and proper functioning of the movement.
Do SwissKubik automatic watch winders make noise?
SwissKubik automatic watch winders are renowned for their extremely quiet operation. Thanks to their high-precision motor and Swiss-made design, they produce very little
noise during use. This discretion is a major advantage, especially if you place your winder in a quiet environment such as a bedroom or office. SwissKubik stands out for its combination of cutting-edge technology and elegance, offering a seamless experience without noise pollution.
